Community

Community is an Illustration about human relationships, and how they often tangle and become intertwined naturally throughout our lives whether we want them to or not. The challenge was to illustrate a warm, and comforting piece about connections without actually showing the people. Instead of using literal humans, this Community is shown through the string hanging from window to window in an enclosed apartment complex. Each window is different, to give a hint into the life of whoever resides there.

I made the deliberate choice of a soft pink and brown color palette to keep the overall feeling of this piece light and calm, harkening back to my intention of illustrating an environment that could be seen as home.
