Death of a Bachelor Fan-Poster

My Death of a Bachelor Fan-Poster is one of my favorite prints I’ve ever made. The piece itself is a Riso print, with only three colors of ink: black, red and blue overlaid on the paper in three different run-throughs of the Risograph machine. By using the Risograph, I made 5 prints of the same poster, each of them a little different in texture and alining- a perk of using the Risograph.

In the making of this piece I had to remember to make room for three pieces of information: the album title, the band name, followed by time and place of the concert and the year the concert took place. I reflected the wacky, high energy feeling from the Death of a Bachelor (by Panic! at the Disco) album through the skeleton and octopus imagery and tied it together with a three-dimensional, 60’s inspired horror movie font and title.
